Despite my last order having issues with delivery custom plugs sent a brand new order which arrived the following day and issued a 20 voucher for me for the inconvenience and this really made my day :) This is how good service is done guys ! Just treated myself to a little pick me up with my voucher, best start to 2022! Thanks custom plugs!!!
I had a few issues with my order at first, but thanks to Miye, who helped me a lot and kept tracking the order until I got it. It was also my first time ordering from Custom Plugs, and it won't be the last, I promise. I can't express how pleased I am with my plugs; they're of high quality, and you won't be disappointed.
custom plugs is the best company to order from. in the years i've been ordering from them i've never had any problem with any order and delivery is relatively fast. It's worth it to set up an account with the company as they really value their customers and thats the reason the majority of my collection is custom plugs, because you feel valued when ordering from them.
I have been ordering my piercing from few different companies but ended up with having whole collection just from customplugs as their quality exceeds any other brands.I order plugs once every few months cause they do last and it's just to expand my collection. The new metal snake plugs are absolutely amazing and sit perfectly. For anyone saying that customplugs are pricey, maybe a bit but it's because their quality beats other brands and customer service really does their job properly!!100% recommended!!
Recently made contact as i ordered the wrong product by accident, so contacted custom plugs and asked if it was possible to return the item, there was no hassle was very quick to response and help me sort this out, very good customer service skills and highly recommend! - was assisted by Piper
Ordered some plugs and was advised that one of the sets were actually unavailable - Emily was great and helped me find a similar set!! Unforrunately the similar set was single flare plugs and I dont trust the little bands they need. Happily, Emily was there for me AGAIN and sent me the original plugs I ordered as soon as they were in stock, PLUS a free set of different plugs!! 10000/10 customer service

Plugs and gauges are two terms that are commonly used in the world of ear stretching and stretched piercings. They are often used interchangeably to refer to the jewelry worn with stretched piercings - but they are not one and the same.
Gauge actually refers to the US scale of measurement used to identify the thickness of the jewelry or diameter of the stretched piercing (in countries that use the metric system, millimetres (mm) is generally the preferred measuring metric). And plugs are the jewelry themselves!
Similar to ear plugs, ear tunnels are cylindrical pieces that fit in a stretched piercing. The only difference being tunnels (as its name suggests) is hollow inside and you can see through the jewelry. With its design, ear tunnels give you more flexibility and creative freedom to curate your ear however you want! If you want to go for a simple, everyday look, a more minimal design can give you that added subtle charm or if louder looks are more you, add on a hanger or earring to craft a unique stack of your own.
In order for a plug to stay put within a piercing, the ends of its cylindrical shape are often flared out, or the plug is fastened in place by o-rings. Combinations of these two methods may also be used.
A flesh tunnel is usually used in stretched or scalpelled piercings. Flesh tunnels are made in smaller gauges. However, the smaller the gauge the smaller the effect to see through the plug becomes. A person may choose to wear flesh tunnels instead of flesh plugs because they weigh less; at higher gauges, the weight difference increases. Flesh tunnels may be worn with a captive bead ring or other object passed through them.
Flesh tunnels are fashioned from a broad range of materials, including surgical steel, titanium, Pyrex glass, silicone, acrylic glass, bone, horn, amber, bamboo, stone, and wood. Flesh tunnels, like flesh plugs, may feature a decorative inlay or semi-precious stones. Some flesh tunnels have flares to keep the jewellery from falling out. If there are no flares, grooves may be cut near the edges to allow rubber or silicone o-rings to hold the jewellery in place. The back of the flesh tunnel may also screw off. A flesh tunnel may also have an internally threaded backing, as externally threaded pieces can rip freshly stretched ears.
Inca men wore gold or silver plugs in the ears, which indicated their nobility. Their stretched piercings, which could reach the size of two inches, later inspired a Spanish nickname for the Inca people: orejones (\"big ears\").[5][6]
These are the standard sizes for body jewelry used for each piercing. However, we cannot guarantee that the size on our chart is the size used for your specific piercing. These are the standard gauges and lengths used by professional piercers. Everyone's body is different, and sometimes piercers will use different lengths and gauges depending on your body or the type of jewelry you want to wear. If you are unsure of what size piercing jewelry to get, we recommend calling your piercer to asking him or her.
The gauge size of your piercing is the thickness of the bar that goes through your piercing. In other words, it's the barbell's thickness. Note that the thicker the barbell, the lower the gauge size. So a 12 gauge (or 12G) barbell is much thicker than a 20 gauge (20G) barbell.
The length of your piercing jewelry refers to the wearable length of the barbell that goes through your piercing. It is measured from the top to the bottom of the straight barbell and does not include the balls or charms.
Circular/horseshoe barbells are commonly used as belly rings, nipple rings, eyebrow rings, earrings, ear plugs, and for genital piercings. Circular barbells are measured from the largest inside diameter.
Curved barbells, also know as bent barbells, are commonly used for belly button rings, nipple rings, eyebrow jewelry, rook piercings, and even septum piercings. Curved barbells are measured in a straight line from the inner length between the two balls.
Labrets, also know as flat back barbells, are worn in a variety of piercings around the cheeks and mouth as well as in tragus earrings and cartilage studs. The flat back is perfect for piercings that require a close fit. They are measured from the base of the ball to the top of the flat disc. Standard lengths for labrets are 1/4\" or 5/16\". The 3/16\" is generally used for cartilage piercings rather than lip piercings for a nice, snug fit.
